Oregon Rural Action is a 501(c)(3) membership-based community organizing nonprofit working to promote social justice, agricultural and economic sustainability, and stewardship of the region's land, air and water. We're bringing people together to build strong communities by providing information and tools for local people to use in addressing the issues affecting our communities.

We envision the responsible and sustainable use of our natural resources and agricultural lands, a region of social livability and equality, thriving and diverse local economies, and opportunity for present and future generations. To that end, members throughout Eastern Oregon work to develop successful campaigns and projects.

Currently, Oregon Rural Action members are focused on efforts to promote local foods, small-scale renewable energy, and strong local economies. Their efforts include the Eastern Oregon Solar Fair, La Grande Farmers Market, Farm to School, and the La Grande Community Garden.
