Last Month for the Market
Well, it’s getting a little chilly… but it’s still the season for fresh local produce here in La Grande. The local Farmer’s Market will be at Max Square for all of October’s Saturdays.
The La Grande Farmers’ Market is a seasonal open-air market featuring fresh local produce, baked goods, specialty foods, garden products, arts, crafts, and live music. It’s not just shopping, it’s interacting with local farmers, artists, musicians, craftsman and friends. Many of our farmers use organic or natural and sustainable growing methods. All items for sale at the the La Grande Farmers Market must be locally prepared, grown, or crafted by the vendor.

Chris and Mike. . this is great. . I’m looking forward to connecting up with you for all the local LOCAL FOODS ISSUES that we will be working with this winter. We might even have a couple of winter markets on the front porch of the White House. Several farmers have squash/potatoes/carrots/apples. .meat and eggs. I’ll keep you posted.
