Check out this artist opportunity in La Grande. Information was provided below by ArtsEast.
Deadline: March 24 (Wednesday) 2010
Exhibit Dates: April 2 (Friday) 2010 – May 21 (Friday) 2010
Title: ”Art is Ageless: Showcasing Artists 60 and older.”
Venue: ArtsEast Gallery, located in the white house on the corner of 6th and ‘L’ Ave. on the edge of EOU Campus in La Grande.
Eligibility: Open to all artists who are over 60 years old working in 2D and 3D media. Artists can submit up to three (3) pieces. Entries must be no larger than 24″ in any direction, with the exception of fiber art. All works must be original and created by you, the artist. Entries need not be recent; it can be a favorite piece you’ve created. All artwork must be prepared for display.
Call for an appointment to deliver artwork.
Rules for Display: All works must be delivered ready to install with no protruding nails or hooks. Please securely fasten hanging hardware (eye-screws/D-rings and picture hanging wire) to 2D works. The gallery uses moulding strips/moulding hooks to hang 2D works, therefore sawtooth hangers are NOT acceptable. Works on canvas that are mounted on wooden stretchers must have hanging hardware attached.
3D work must not weigh over 50lbs. If 3D work is to be hung on the wall, all hardware must meet weight requirements to ensure that the piece will remain secure on the wall. ArtsEast Gallery will not be held liable for damage to artwork due to ineffective use of hardware.
