Finn Riggins: fresh from everywhere else
![]()
Fresh from their monster US TOUR Finn Riggins will be gracing La Grande at Dukes bar and grill on Thursday May, 20. With local comrades City of Animals and Gregory Rawlins the show will have nothing less than the ability to make your knees shake, chatter, in that excited, joyous, collected soul-gasm …. I digress.
Finn Riggins returned home to Idaho a week or two ago after spending 80 days on tour across the U.S. The collection of photos, posts, media, and the sharing of that journey to me is proof of dedication, one of the main reasons I feel that if any group has the ability to stir-up, conjure, extract the best in the people who listen to their music – it is Finn Riggins.
The Riggins have developed such a strong social media / online web presence that it is hard for people to forget them. They engage with there audience in a very personal way – insights into adventures, clever, well-spirited photos, blogs, video, music that circulate through facebook, myspace, along with their collaboration with Portland’s best label Tender Loving Empire paints a picture perfect positive online promotional campaign – in which I am hooked.
Finn Riggins are good people.
If you ever have the chance to play ping-pong with, drink with, party with, talk with, watch a movie with, laugh at the same joke with, tour with, use the rest room with, or anything with – you will be left with a deeper sense of what good is. Finn Riggins has been a tremendous influence on the music and lifestyle in La Grande Oregon ever since their first visit back in the days of the Gadfly and threw their multiple shows at Test Audiences’ “Crawl Space” shows. They have befriended, promoted, supported local groups Test Audiences, City of Animals, Sons of Guns, SharkPig and more. This ability and interest Finn Riggins has to collaborate, share, promote and, frankly, to just be cool defines them to me as a power house of potentiality – in other words – these guys (gal – Lisa) will create – exactly what they want to create in their journey.
the dust is slowly settling on tour, but things are not slowing down. this is our 4th day off in a row, but we’ll be hitting the road for most of the weekends throughout the summer and fall starting tomorrow as we head to La Grande, OR. super excited — la grande is la awesome. more updates coming very soon, but a lot of our upcoming shows are posted at www.myspace.com/finnriggins

So take advantage of this talent stopping in La Grande and check the show out Thursday May 20th @ Dukes.
The La Grande Life crew will be heading down to “tumbleweed” in a couple of weeks and joining local bands Sons of Guns and City of Animals as they convene with Riggins at their Ranch Fest Party. Plan to have D-Sandwich on the scene and collect a bunch of great media and good times. Their invitation to a couple of La Grande bands means a lot and is a great opportunity for this valley’s music to echo in some new ears. Thanks for the opp Finn.
Check out their sweet new music video below and connect with them appropriately.
