La Grande Life is a collection of resources and blogs posted by local people, updated daily. It’s a whole new take on news & events, written by normal folks like you and me.
It is not an entity or a corporation. It is an ever-growing community of people writing about what is happening in La Grande, Oregon; what we see here, do here, and think about here. We are bankers, bartenders, musicians, jobseekers, teachers, students, and everything else.

La Grande Life is your one-stop spot for local calendars and directories. Here’s how it works…
CALENDARS: The Events Calendar tab on the top menu will show you everything listed as an event happening in La Grande, color-coded by categories. If you’re just looking for live music, for example, you can head over to the Concert Calendar, which gives you those specific events. The same goes for Outdoor Events, Art Events, and the Sports Calendar. All these things can be found on the Homepage, or by finding your category of interest under the Blogs dropdown tab in the top menu.

DIRECTORIES: Looking for a restaurant, a bar, an art gallery, local movie times, or even a local musician? On the Homepage and Blog Pages you’ll find links to listings of all these La Grande resources.

BLOGS
This is the fun part. You and me and everyone else around here are welcome to contribute to the blogs (if you’re not familiar with the term “blog”, please click here to read Wikepedia’s description).
Blogging is a great way to jot down thoughts, views, recommendations, and information. Maybe you want to rant. Maybe you want to share your favorite song or talk about a book you read. Maybe you want to write a review on a film or a concert you saw. The possibilities are pretty much endless, and blogging is kinda like karaoke: It’s easy, it only takes a few minutes, and you don’t have to be great at it for it to be great.
