HOW TO JOIN

1. Create a Gravatar account (link below — all it takes is an email address) and upload a photo of yourself. Gravatar is a free service that allows you to upload a photo and use it as your avatar* for various social networking sites. Anytime you go back to Gravatar and change your image, it will change on all of your posts, which is very convenient! IMPORTANT:When you apply your headshot, be sure to rate it “G” (This is a good time to mention that it should be G-rated) and confirm it as your primary image.

   *An avatar is just a tiny photo of you that will show up next to your blogs like this:

2. Now you can register as a La Grande Life Blogger and create your username and password (link below). This is what you will use to login (at the very top of every page) and post blogs forever.IMPORTANT: Be sure to register with the same email address that you used for your Gravatar account, or your image won’t show up.

3. Blog! Click “NEW POST”, fill in a title, put 500 words or less in the body, select a category for the blog, and click PUBLISH. Your blog will be reviewed by the admin team and if approved will be posted within 48-hours!
4. Share it! After your blog is published, use the “Share This” feature at the bottom of the entry to pass along your writing to your friends and family via Facebook, MySpace, Email, Twitter, etc.
