La Grande Summer Film Project Kick Off Party
Join in the excitement and challenge of The La Grande Summer Film Project. Brought to you by Eastern Oregon Film Festival and Crossing the Blues: La Grande Summer Festival this 48 hour filmmaking challenge will combine 10 teams working independently over the course of 2 days to write, direct, edit -10 short films that will work together to become one full film.
Last year we had over 60 participants in the making of the film and aim to have more involvement this year.
The films will screen on Friday August 20 as part of Crossing the Blues: La Grande Summer Festival at 10:00pm outdoors on Depot Street, in Downtown La Grande.
The KICK-OFF party will be held at White House Coffee (17-2 Fourth Street) and we be a chance to meet the filmmakers, support the fest, and join a team. Specific film criteria will be given out at FILMMAKING will commence at 9:00pm.

Featuring music by several local bands. Free and open to the public. The La Grande Main Street Program is working to revitalize our downtown using the tried and true Main Street Approach. This is a comprehensive means to rebuild a healthy downtown by addressing the economic challenges facing downtown, beautifying and restoring the historic heart of our community and promoting the downtown with fun events and quality marketing.
The Main Street Program is volunteer driven by downtown businesses owners, community members and supported by many local organizations. These volunteers serve on committees addressing the four main components of downtown revitalization: Design, Promotion, Economic Restructuring and Organization.
The Main Street Program is always looking for new volunteers and members. For more information on how you can help restore our downtown to its deserved prominence in our community.
