Over the last year there has been a considerable amount of “close calls” on the intersection of Washington and Depot street in downtown La Grande, Oregon. From efforts made be La Grande Main Street, concerned citizens and the City of La Grande public works has installed 2 new stops signs making the intersection a 4-WAY STOP.

La Grande, Oregon Arts Festival

The 2010 Crossing the Blues: La Grande Summer Festival is gearing up again for its third year. August 20 & 21 plan to take to the streets in Historic Downtown La Grande, Oregon to join in a slew of great events celebrating the arts and culture in our great community. La Grande Downtown welcomes travelers and residents to help celebrate everything that makes La Grande the community we love. Enjoy local foods, noted musicians, nationally-recognized artists and writers, and independent filmmakers as part of the La Grande Summer Film Project at this year’s summer festival.

The 50th Annual Crazy Days event will be in Downtown La Grande starting Friday July 9th thru Saturday, July 10. This year the event will take on a new flavor celebrating our pioneer heritage with an Oregon Trail theme. Crazy Days has been around for a long time and has become one of the biggest traditions among merchants downtown. The event draws one of the largest amounts of the community members to most of the Historic Downtown of La Grande.

EOU Graduation

LA GRANDE, Ore. (EOU) – Approximately 413 graduates will don cap and gown to march at Eastern Oregon University’s formal Commencement Ceremonies Saturday, June 12. The outdoor event begins at 10 a.m. at Community Stadium.
