A new short film by Eastern Oregon University Media Professor Kevin Roy paints the wonderful picture of an active young community in La Grande enjoying the beauty of this areas outdoors while engaging in a very social, exciting, and skill-driving activity known as Disc Golf!. “Sunday Drivin’” will make you want to get yourself some discs and join in this great sport.

Disc Golf enthusiasts in Union Country are proposing the installation of an 18-hole disc golf course in the Mount Emily Recreation Area. All disc supporters are invited to attend and show support at the MERA Advisory Committee meeting at 7:00pm on Tuesday May 18th at 1106 K Street in the Commissioner’s Conference Room.

Union County is ready to accept your Trails Unit donations. Time to get out the checkbooks! 36 days remaining.
The Commissioner’s office will accept donations of $100 or more at the above address by mail or in person. All donations are tax deductible and also fully refundable should Union County be unable to buy the Trails Unit trees for any reason.

Union County Commissioners have adopted a Forest Management Plan for the MERA Trails Unit, unleashing a massive fund-raising effort. Friends of the Trails Unit, a citizen group of more than 100 people, have determined to raise over $600,000 in tax-deductible donations to Union County.

Winding Waters River Expeditions sponsored the winning Lawn Chair Racer in last weekend Fergi Fest. We had a great day skiing powder and watching all of the fun events.
